Edgewater is a peaceful suburban borough that stretches along the Hudson River waterfront in Bergen County, New Jersey. This quiet community offers an eclectic array of shopping and dining options. Edgewater is named for its location along the banks of the Hudson River. Edgewater’s proximity to NYC means the borough offers some of the best possible views of Manhattan. The drive to Manhattan can be completed in around 30 minutes. Edgewater has a laidback vibe with lots of recreational amenities. Edgewater offers an eclectic variety of retailers and restaurants at locations all across town. A block away from the Hudson River, Kuppi Coffee Company’s range of gourmet hot beverages includes house-roasted coffee, pour overs, mochas, lattes, chai lattes, and teas. Kuppi also has an extensive food selection with tasty pastries, salads, sandwiches, and soups.

Pier 115 Bar & Grill is a stylish elevated sports bar on the riverfront. Here you can enjoy wood-fired pizza, mouthwatering burgers, sushi, raw bar items, and seafood and meat entrees alongside more than 100 varieties of beer on draft.

City Place is a bustling commercial destination on the Hudson featuring premium retailers and diverse dining options. Brands with stores at City Place include Anthropologie, Athleta, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, Chico’s, Express, LOFT, and Victoria’s Secret. Dining options include authentic Greek cuisine at Greek Taverna and prime steak and exceptional seafood with NYC views at Fleming’s. The River Palm Terrace is another upscale destination for classic American steakhouse dining. The menu here features finest quality dry-aged Black Angus Prime beef alongside exquisite fresh seafood and sushi.

Things to Do :

Edgewater offers numerous parks and green spaces as well as scenic walking paths along the Hudson River with Manhattan views. The town celebrates Earth Day and Arbor Day in April by distributing seeds to residents to grow trees on their properties. Veterans Field Park spans 22 acres on the riverfront. Veterans Field Park’s many recreational amenities include a running track, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, a Little League field, a football and soccer field, three softball fields, and a splash park. The park also features a huge American flag which can easily be spotted from across the river in Manhattan. The smaller nearby green space of Memorial Park is home to a famous colony of around 200 parakeets which first appeared in Edgewater in the 1980s.
